There are already 5 miles of trails, two dog parks, picnic pavilions, a playground for the kids, and plenty of wide open grassy areas for residents to enjoy with their neighbors.

The first community pool and splash pad is completed in Whitfield Park. Next, the first baseball and multi-sport fields will be located in the 90-acre District Park. There are also plans for a K-8 public school, a community gymnasium for shared-use and beautiful community tennis courts. Other planned amenities include a public library and community theater.

Nearby Wilderness and Preserves

The nearby Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Park is a huge regional park that is managed by Pasco County and it includes many fine features like paved trails that connects the forty-two mile Suncoast Trail. Many picnic shelters, hiking trails, biking trails and equestrian trails make their home here along with a large campground complete with many camping cabins for the locals and visitors to explore and enjoy.

There are quite a few species of birds, beautiful and unique aquatic plants, like seagrass and a wide variety of popular fish species, like redfish, bass, sea trout, catfish, mullet, and more that make natural habitat here. This large preserve serves as a resting and nesting area for the regional water well field that is operated by the Tampa Bay water district and it remains an essential part of the multi-county supply system that supplies excellent drinking water to the Greater Tampa Bay area. The preserve has beautiful pine flatwoods, cypress trees, freshwater marshes, many streams and lake swamps that attract fishermen from near and far.
